Title goes here

This is strange, November 23 was the last date that I put a strike through on my calendar here at work. Novemebr 23 was apparently the last time i posted to this blog. and November 23 was the day i graduated from AmeriCorps and I don't even think i nearly mentioned that important chronological point in the entry. What a fine journeler I turned out to be!
I started to read Civil Disobedience this morning before work. YEAH i actually got up early enough to read leisurly beFORE work. (BTW since Nov 23 grad, i continued to work at Hands On Atlanta from 1pm-5pm) So today is my last day here at HOA, even tho things are NOT as wrapped up as I would have liked for them to be. I think in this line of work there is never a real stopping point. all of our project developments overlap each other and i can never get everything done at one time. But i can minimize the akwardness of someone taking over my position here, and that's the best i can do. Cause i do gotta go.
Tomorow i will begin the monumental historic mural painting on my backyard garage!!! Hey once its done i will HAVE to post a picture to this blog.
As far as my progression towards Peace Corps, i am just waiting to get the confirmed details (dates, times, location of staging) and then i will call the travel agency to book my gov't paid for ticket! Staging may be in Miami, D.C. or New York (probably)
I really hope i like my staging group which will become my training group. I will no doubt be very different from them, but hopefully with one great GREAT common denomiator like interest in the common good of mankind - at least. I expect that my PC group will be young 20 or early 30 somethings and maybe there will even be a wise old granma/granpa in the group that can be a mother/father figure. I imagine that everyone will be hopeful and bright and nice (enough) So we'll see. We shall see.
Oh, also on the agenda, of my life, is to write a remake/revolution for the song we shall overcome with verses that address the realities of oppression in my day. It's still Black and White, but it is also, Monied vs Poor, Powerful vs Systematically powerless, and Rev. Joseph Lowrey would perhaps suggest that it is Good vs Evil.
I went to the 50th Anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott at Historic Ebenezer. There weren't many audience members, perhaps they didn't advertise it well enough. But it was a good quality star studded event. It was very respectful and I've never been to an eventquite like it because there were all these invited welcomers and speakers. SCLC, Service Workers Union, NAACP and other folks like that were represented. They got up and said "Welcome to this memorial and here is a two sentence synopsis about the political position and current action of my activist organization. Then the guest Speakers, Mayor Shirley Franklin, Andy Young (I still haven't read his bio book) and Rev Lowery. (I didn't know Andy was an ambassador either...) I should read that bio and figure how i can be one two, but then Civil Disobedience might persuade me that ALL gov't agents are evil. While Rev. Lowrey says we need statesmen instead of politicians, and above all we need God's Hand on whatever movement we try to make anyway. Yes Lord. But how do we really get all people united under one God under one Good. That is the question of questions. Mission work - in its imperialisitc, mono, homo way never felt comftorble to me. If, for example, the 'pagan' gods of Africa are wrong, where can i as a proud African decendant find a worthy heritage if the historic religions of my people are wrong... It's not a comfortable area there, it smells like miseducation, but it has to be a Holy answer there. I should ask God that...talk to you.
